I had my 2nd on the 13th of Dec. followed by total knee replacement surgery on the 20th. The colonoscopy prep was worse than anything else. After the first dose of my prep which was different than yours, I couldn't keep anything down. 2nd dose went down and came up just after I finished it. I drank clear liquids until midnight and reached the nurse at 7 am who told me to drink and much as I could. I was lucky the first dose with the extra morning liquids cleared me out enough for them to proceed. I woke up to "all clear and yes we were able to do the colonoscopy just fine". My biggest worry was to have to have it redone. 10 years til I have to do it again. So glad your's turned out well.

You too! Yay! And hopefully in 10 years they'll figure out another way. 🤞

My hubby had to do one and he said the worst part was the prep.

having gone through this three time now I stopped paying attention to the color of the poo, but learned the first time not to wander away from the toilet. And you're absolutely right no reds in the fluids we drink for fear of making the medical team think we're bleeding. Ages ago I watched a Dr Oz show where he talked about eating lentels the night before and then being scolded by his doctor for that choice! Warmed my heart. I've never had the same diet restrictions prior that you had, other than the 24 hours before to only intake liquids or some applesauce. And I've had two friend who the whole "evacuation" process didn't work at all as it should & their procedures had to be cancelled entirely! Personally I found the whole process pretty much a non-event, the prep sucks but for me it was at most 48 hrs - the first appt was late in the afternoon of the 2nd day - so only fluids and applesauce before that one, learned to schedule the others early in the day if I have a choice. Glad it all came out ok in th end! Love you!
